It is true though. Something worth noting is that many people immediately either say "Awesome" or "Shitty". Occasionally you'll get an "okay". Even when it comes to movies and video games. There are not many who will try and put it on a 1 to 10 scale, as that might almost seem like too much work.
It's a good system, and I try to make use of it, though I must confess to rather often being possessed by the need to give it a high rank just because I was caught in the moment and loved it
Y'know, any review that gives a low score and no real reson besdies "I hate and you suck" is counted as abusive and can be removed if enough people click the little 'X' in the corner of it (which brings it to the review mods' attention).
There's not much you can do about the shitty YouTube comments with 10's on them, but it's something at least.
